If we model to them that they are worthy of our time and attention, that they are interesting and have valid opinions, thoughts, and feelings, if we show them how powerful, wonderful, and loved they are, they will develop these core beliefs about themselves.

According to a recent study by @washingtonpost, quality of time spent with our children trumps quantity.  Busy parents with demanding careers can still make for great parents, however, being intentional with pockets of time throughout the day and week is key.
